junior tennis summer camp

Early healthy exposure to athletics & wellness
because making competition, & learning fun is intentional!

welcome!

Greetings Parents & Guardians,

TenniswithD efforts started in 2009 with 2 campers! At the time we believed 1 or 2 campers, camp is on! The spirit of our program has not changed, our priority is developing the individual; tennis happens to be our mode of sharing life lessons like completing a task, working within a group, developing friendships, handling wins and losses, discipline, tenacity, drive among other life serving attributes.

FUN

We package tennis fundamentals into fun games. The players naturally achieve a convincing level of tennis ability because they are genuinely, having fun!

We just so happen to prioritize good tennis form, technique and competitive development in the process. As such, our campers by the end of the summer, will have the makings of a tennis stroke resembling the boys and girls we see on TV, within their reasonable capacity at varying abilities, of course.

The Stories are not being shared enough. The majority of players will never go past high school tennis but only because that is the last time a “no-cut policy” is embraced. Rather than redefine “success” and make the goal line more accommodating, we chose re-emphasizing the lessons in our program. We wear it on our camp shirts, fun, accountability, responsibility, endurance, friendships. These lessons are life serving and we can always tap into them, as needed throughout life.
Thank You Returning supporters for the continued support. We also wish to thank New parents, for considering our tennis camp.

Accountability for example, is not just the ability to complete assigned tasks in equal measures but rather it is the ability to recognize when one is wrong regardless if it may be apologizing to another player, sitting out while the rest of the camp enjoys the most popular game, or taking a lap around the courts; Accountability is being a productive conscientious upstanding member of a real society where set-backs,better yet, success is a possibility when one assumes any commitment.

what we do daily..

Plane: Fast Paced Games that are beginner friendly.

friendly. They test ball handling skills, hand eye cordination and are centered around breaking a sweat and having fun.

Mental Game

Consinqentially, we are working on mental growth. Interaction, patience, taking turns, learning to win and lose in low pressure environments where competition is of low priority

Networking ...

Group Tennis classes are a good catalyst towards making fast friends in and outside our classes.

Book a private Lesson

While it is not necessary having an edge never hurt. We do aim to play tennis competitively eventually. Parents can book a few classes to prepare their kids. However, this class is beginner friendly and designed to accomodate a first time player
